Description
Postway Cottage is a late 17th-century cottage built from coursed limestone rubble with bands of ironstone and a plain-tile roof, featuring flanking brick stacks. The cottage has two storeys and is divided into bays. The central doorway has a wooden lintel and a ribbed plank door. To the right of the door is a two-light stone mullioned window, while to the left is a 20th-century tray window. On the first floor, there are two 19th-century two-light casement windows with wooden lintels. A three-light stone mullioned window is located in the rear wall, which is now internal. There is a 20th-century extension at the back. Inside, the cottage features stop-chamfered spine beams, an open fireplace that has been altered in the 20th century, and a bread oven.
