Description
The farmhouse at Gravel Hill Farm dates to the early 18th century, with a remodelling of the front facade occurring in the 19th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with squared ironstone quoins, and has a corrugated asbestos roof, with a brick stack located to the right of the centre. The building is two storeys and an attic, with five bays. The entrance is in the second bay from the right, featuring a timber lintel and a panelled door with an overlight. Sash windows with timber lintels flank the entrance. Similar windows are present in the right bay on the first floor and the second bay from the left. A two-light window with a timber lintel and a 20th-century casement occupies the second bay from the right, while a two-light casement window with a timber lintel is in the left bay. Coped gable ends have kneelers. A 19th-century brick extension is attached to the left. The rear of the farmhouse retains original windows with timber lintels and old iron casements. The interior was not inspected.
