Description

The Farmhouse is a house dating back to the 17th century, with an attic storey added in the 18th or 19th century. It is constructed of coursed squared ironstone and coursed rubble, with a slate roof and brick and stone stacks on either side. The house has two storeys and an attic, originally comprising two bays. The entrance, located in the second bay from the left, features a moulded wood lintel, a plank door and a corrugated iron hood. A small one-light window with a stone frame is positioned to the left of the entrance, while a three-light wooden casement window with a square stone hood sits to the right. A smaller three-light casement window with a wood lintel is present to the left, and two-light casement windows with wood lintels are found in the attic. The right gable end has a coping. Kneeler remains visible below, marking the original roofline before the attic was added. An extension, likely from the 18th century, adjoins the original structure to the left. This extension is single-storey and one bay wide, built using similar materials. It contains a small one-light window on the ground floor and a two-light casement window with a wood lintel to the right, alongside a matching window on the first floor. A 19th-century lean-to brick extension is situated on the right side of the property. The interior of the house has not been inspected.
