CLIPSTON HIGH STREET SP7081 (East side) 15/14 Clipston Court 02/11/54 (Formerly listed as The Acacias)

GV II

House. Mid C18. Lias ashlar with slate roof. Originally probably U-shaped plan. 2 storeys with attic. Main front, symmetrical, 5-window range. Central C19 four-panelled door has plain stone surround with C19 hood. Ground-floor C19 sash windows have plain stone surrounds with keystones. First-floor narrower 2-light casements have similar surrounds. Ashlar gable parapet, 2 roof dormers with sashes under arch heads. Ashlar stacks at ends. Flat string course between floors and rusticated quoins at corners. C19 wing to rear at right and C20 porch to rear at left. Interior: Room to left of entrance has reeded wood fire surround.
