Description

4 and 6 Nether Green are two houses dating from the mid-18th century. They are constructed of rendered cob with a slate roof and were originally designed as one-unit plans. The buildings are two storeys high with an attic and feature a five-window range of casements, some of which have glazing bars beneath rendered heads. There are brick stacks at the ridge, and 19th-century brick extensions have been added to both the left and right sides. The entrances to the houses are located at the rear. The interior has not been inspected. These houses are included in the register as an example of cob construction.
