Description
36 and 38 King Street are two houses dating from the mid to late 18th century, with alterations made in the mid 19th century. They are constructed of brick, with roughcast fronts and pantile roofs. The buildings feature cogged eaves, a single ridge, and single gable stacks, with the right-hand part having coped gables. The windows are mid 19th century margin light sashes. The houses are two storeys tall, with a single window range and a three-window range. The slightly higher single window range on the left has a segment-headed panelled door to the right, with the top two panels glazed. The three-window range on the right includes two sashes and a 20th-century casement to the right, along with a half-glazed panelled door and two sashes to its left.
