Description
56 King Street is a house dating from the late 18th century, with a mid-19th century addition. It is constructed of brick and features a pantile roof. The building has a first-floor band and painted dentilled eaves. There are single gable and ridge stacks. The openings are adorned with segmental rubbed brick heads, which are also painted. The house is two storeys high and has a three-window range, making it double fronted. It includes three glazing bar sash windows. The central entrance features a 19th-century panelled door with an overlight, flanked by larger glazing bar sashes. To the right, the two-storey addition has a single blank window on the left side, and below it, there is a near-central close boarded door with a segmental head.
