Description
Bridge House is a house dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of ashlar stone with ashlar detailing, and has a stone slate roof. The building is two storeys high and five bays wide, with rusticated quoins. The windows are sash windows without glazing bars, set within projecting moulded architraves. The central doorway is contained within an elaborate Ionic doorcase featuring pilasters, a pulvinated frieze, a dentil cornice, and a pediment, with two windows flanking either side. Above the door are five windows, the central window featuring an eared architrave with a moulded sill. A moulded string course runs along the first floor, followed by a pulvinated frieze and an eaves cornice. The roof has shaped kneelers and an ashlar coping. The rear elevation features a tall, round-arched staircase window and flat-faced mullion windows.
