Description

Mops Cottage is a cottage dated 1833, constructed from coursed limestone rubble with a slate roof and brick end stacks. It has a two-unit plan and is two stories high, featuring a three-window range. There is a plank door located to the left of center, which is accessed by four brick steps and has a 20th-century hood supported by brackets and a wooden lintel. To the right of the door are three-light casement windows, while a two-light casement window is to the left. Similar casements are found on the first floor, all with wooden lintels. An ironstone datestone is located at the base of the right end stack. The interior has not been inspected.
