Description
Brampton Hill Farmhouse stable, built in the mid-19th century by the Spencer family, is located approximately 100 metres southeast of the farmhouse. The structure features squared coursed lias and brick with slate roofs. The central block consists of one unit and two storeys, flanked by ranges of stables, each with three stable doors. Above the central door, there is a sash window, and all cart shed openings have flat arch heads. The central block has a pyramid roof, while the flanking wings have hipped roofs. The Spencers were prominent agriculturalists in the 19th century, and this building exemplifies a range of unaltered commercial farm buildings.
