Description

Three houses, built in 1848 by E. Blore, as part of a planned development of ten houses and a wash house. They are constructed of squared coursed lias stone with ashlar dressings, and have a plain tiled roof. The houses are arranged in a layout forming an "L" shape, with each of the two units containing three windows on each floor. The windows are casements with ashlar surrounds and cast iron diamond panes. The front of the houses has two entrances between the windows, with a third entrance to the side, each featuring a four-centred head and a ribbed door. The end bay projects forward with gables; the central window has a false dormer. Rebuilt brick stacks are located at each end. Datestones bearing the Spencer Arms are visible in the flanking gables. The interiors have not been inspected.
