Description
Wilsons Cottage is a house dated 1668, constructed from coursed limestone rubble with a ridged tile roof and brick end stacks on stone bases. The building has a two-unit plan and is two stories tall, featuring a two-window range. The central entrance consists of a part-glazed door set in a moulded timber surround, topped with a concrete hood. This door is flanked by 4-light 20th-century metal casement windows with concrete lintels. Similar windows are present on the first floor, and the gables are stone-coped with kneelers, made of ironstone. To the left, there is a single-storey lean-to extension with a back door. A small circular blocked window with a brick surround is located at the rear. The ironstone datestone inscribed with "1668" is framed by a heart on the left gable. The cottage is included for its group value.
