Description
Brampton Hill Farmhouse cart sheds, built in the mid-19th century by the Spencer family, are located approximately 100 metres south-west of the farmhouse. The cart sheds are constructed from squared coursed lias and brick, topped with slate roofs. The central block consists of one unit and is two storeys high, flanked by ranges of cart sheds featuring arched openings. There is a central door with a sash window above it, both adorned with flat arch heads. All cart shed openings have bullnosed brick jambs. The central block has a pyramid roof, while the flanking wings have hipped roofs. The Spencers were prominent agriculturalists in the 19th century, and this building exemplifies a range of unaltered commercial farm structures.
