Description
The Old Mill House is a cottage that was formerly two dwellings, dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed ironstone rubble and features a thatch roof with brick ridge and end stacks. The building is designed in an L-shape, comprising a single storey and an attic. The main range has one window and a projecting wing to the right. A door is located at the right end of the range, facing the street, and is accessed through a 20th-century porch situated in the angle. The cottage has 20th-century two-light casements with timber lintels, and the first-floor windows are set in eyebrow dormers. The gables are stone-coped and include kneelers. Inside, the cottage features stop-chamfered spine beams.
