Description

The Old Thatch is a cottage, originally two separate dwellings, dating from the early 18th century. The front wall is made of coursed ironstone rubble, while the gable wall and rear wall are rendered over mud. The roof is thatched. The building is two storeys high, with each former cottage being a single unit. To the left, there is a blocked door that has been converted into a window, alongside a three-light casement window with a chamfered timber lintel. The existing doorway also features a chamfered timber lintel, with another three-light casement window beyond it. The lower windows have leaded diamond panes, and there are three upper two-light casement windows. The central stack indicates a baffle entry plan.
