Description
No. 18 Churchgate is a house, probably dating from the early 18th century. It is built of coursed and squared ironstone rubble and has a thatched roof. The house has one and a half storeys and likely follows a two-unit plan, although it has been altered. To the left, there is a possible blocked doorway, followed by the existing door and a three-light casement window to the right. This window has a brick cambered head and surround that was added in the 19th century. Various pieces of timber are visible in the wall between the door and the window. Above, there are two upper two-light casement windows that serve as half dormers. The house features gable end stacks.
