Description

No. 16 Churchgate is a house dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of red brick with blue headers, set on an ironstone plinth, and features a thatched roof. The building is two storeys high, with its gable facing Churchgate and a one-bay wing at the rear. The front elevation includes a door situated in a thatched porch, flanked by three-light casement windows that have cambered brick heads. On the upper floor, there are two two-light casement windows and a single light window above the door. The elevation facing Hunts Lane has two two-light casement windows on each floor. The house has coped gables and gable end stacks.
