Description
The Springs is a house dated 1741, constructed from chequered brick with a slate roof. It has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high. Originally, it featured a three-window range, but now it has two. A 19th-century four-panelled door is located to the left of centre, set beneath a shallow brick arch. The windows are casements with glazing bars, and the one to the left of the door is a horizontal sliding sash, all positioned under shallow brick arches. There are remains of ashlar kneelers, and a central brick stack. The date and initials are incorporated into the brickwork of the right gable. Additionally, there is an 18th-century chequered brick wall attached to the right side of the house.
