Description
Manor Farm is a former cottage, dated 1651 and restored in 1969, now used as an outbuilding. It is constructed of coursed squared ironstone with a plain tile roof and features a one-unit plan. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a one-window range. The side facing the lane includes a two-light ovolo mullion window on the left, a blocked window on the right with a timber lintel, and a one-light window on the first floor left with a moulded stone surround. The left gable end has a one-light window with a moulded stone surround and hood mould on the ground floor, a two-light ovolo mullion window with a hood mould on the first floor, and a small round window with stone tracery featuring three mouchettes. The right gable end has a three-light chamfered mullion window on the ground floor with a double chamfered surround and hood mould, a similar window in the attic, and a three-light ovolo mullion window on the first floor, all with leaded lights. The gable features a datestone inscribed RCM/1651, along with a modern datestone above. Access is provided at the rear through a plank door with a timber lintel. The building is topped with stone coped gables that have kneelers and finials.
