Description
This barn, located approximately 30 meters north of Sulby Lodge Farmhouse, dates from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of brick and squared coursed lias, topped with a slate roof. The barn has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high. The elevation facing the yard features a five-window range with pointed arch heads; some first-floor openings are blank while others contain casement windows with glazing bars. There is one plank door and one stable door situated between the windows. The barn is accented by large ashlar quoins and gable parapets with kneelers, while the gable walls are made of lias.
