Statue of Licurgus. Probably mid C18. By P. Scheemakers. Limestone with name inscribed at base. Repositioned from Stowe in 1938. One of a group including statues of Homerus, Epaminondas and Socrates (q.v. Gate piers and gates approximately 40 metres south west of Cottesbrooke Hall).
