Description

The statue of Epaminondas is located approximately 85 meters southwest of Cottesbrooke Hall. It was likely created in the mid-18th century by P. Scheemakers and is made of limestone, with the name inscribed at its base. The statue was moved from Stowe in 1938 and is part of a group that includes statues of Homerus, Socrates, and Licurgus, which are associated with the gatepiers and gates located about 40 meters southwest of Cottesbrooke Hall.
