Description

These are two barns located approximately 15 meters behind numbers 20, 22, 24, and 26 on Welford High Street. They were probably built in the mid-18th century and are constructed from cob and brick, featuring a lias plinth and a corrugated metal roof. One barn has a two-unit plan while the other has a single-unit plan. There are three plank doors, with the double doors on the far right being from the 20th century and having a hayloft door above. The barn on the left has complete cob walls, and there is a brick stack at the ridge. Some original roof timbers are still intact. These barns are included in the listing as an example of cob construction.
