Description
Manor House is a building that dates from the early to late 18th century. It features squared coursed lias, which is now partly rendered, and brick, topped with a slate roof. The house has a T-shape plan and stands two storeys high with an attic. The entrance front has a five-window range, with a central part-glazed door that is sheltered by a porch with an open pediment supported by two Doric columns. The windows are sash style with glazing bars. There is a raised string course between the floors and rusticated quoins. The building also has a moulded cornice, ashlar gable parapets, kneelers, roof dormers, and brick stacks at each end. On the left gable, there are two single-light windows, one of which is blocked and has moulded stone surrounds, likely reset from an earlier house. The rear wing, made of brick, is probably from the late 18th century. Although the interior was not inspected, it is noted to have panelling in the Dining Room.
