Description
Fairfield Lodge is a former vicarage, now a house, likely built in the early 18th century and rebuilt in the early 19th century. The building is constructed of stuccoed brick and has a slate roof, featuring a double-pile plan. It stands two storeys tall with an attic and has a garden front that includes a five-window range. The central porch, probably added in the late 19th century, has plain pilasters, double doors, and an inner glazed door topped with an arched fanlight. The windows are sash style with glazing bars and moulded stone architraves, with the ground floor windows having eared details. The hipped roof is topped with brick stacks at the ridge. The left side elevation mirrors the front but has two blank windows, while the rear is similar but includes an attic storey with small sash windows. The rear of the house likely incorporates an earlier 18th-century building. Inside, there is an early 19th-century staircase featuring a quarter landing and a stick balustrade.
