Description

Home Farmhouse is an early 18th-century farmhouse located on the west side of Broad Street in Syresham. Constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a plain tile roof and brick end stacks featuring diagonal brick chimneys, the farmhouse originally comprised two units. The building is two storeys and an attic, with a two-window front. A 20th-century plank door resides on the right side, featuring a timber lintel and straight hood supported by brackets. The ground floor has three-light casement windows, while the first floor has two-light windows, and a small one-light window is positioned above the door; all windows have timber lintels. A lower, two-storey extension is attached to the right. The interior retains stop-chamfered spine beams and a blocked open fireplace with a chamfered bressumer.
