Description
Vine Cottage is a house dating from the mid-18th century, located on Broad Street in Syresham. It is constructed of brick with some flared headers and features a plain tile roof with brick end stacks. The building has a two-unit plan and is two storeys high with an attic, presenting a three-window range. The central entrance consists of a four-panel part-glazed door set in a moulded wood surround, topped with a timber lintel and a gabled hood supported by brackets. To the right of the entrance is a canted bay window with a 20-pane sash window in the front and 8-pane sashes on the sides. The first floor has three-light leaded casement windows on the left and right, both with old latches. To the left, there is a former dairy that has been raised by a storey and incorporated into the house. Inside, the cottage features an open fireplace with spice cupboards, chamfered spice beams, stone flagged floors, and a stone cellar.
