Description
Home Close is a mid-18th century farmhouse constructed from coursed squared limestone with a slate roof and brick stacks at the ends and ridge. The building features a three-unit plan, standing two storeys high with an attic and a five-window range. There is a plank door to the left of centre, framed by a moulded wood surround and a timber lintel. The ground and first floors have two-light casement windows, also with timber lintels. Above the door, there is a blocked window, while the first-floor windows have stop-chamfered lintels as part of a continuous wall plate. To the far right, there is a single-storey 20th-century porch. The building has quoins and stone-coped gables with kneelers. At the rear, there is a two-storey wing and a long outbuilding range. The interior has not been inspected.
