Description
This is a mid-18th century house located on the south side of Blackmile Lane, Grendon. It is constructed of regular coursed limestone with a thatched roof. Originally designed with a two-unit plan, it is a single-story building with an attic. The front elevation has a two-window arrangement featuring casement windows with wooden lintels, and further casement windows with glazing bars, all topped by eyebrow dormers. A 20th-century porch is centrally located. Brick stacks are present at the ridge and end of the building. A 19th-century lean-to extension to the right has a slate roof, and the rear of the house is similarly styled. The interior, which has not been inspected, is reported to contain an open fireplace with a bressumer and ceiling beams.
