Description

Hall Close Cottage is a late 17th and 18th century house located on the west side of Grendon Main Road. Originally built with a 3-unit plan, it is constructed of regular coursed limestone and has a thatched roof. The two-storey facade features a three-window range of casement windows with glazing bars, each with a wood lintel. A 20th-century porch is centrally located. A bay to the far right is set at an angle to the main house. Brick stacks are visible at the ridge and ends of the roof. A small 20th-century extension is attached to the far right. The interior, which was not inspected, is noted to contain ceiling beams.
