Description

No. 50 Main Road is a house dating from the late 17th century and the 19th century. It is built with regularly coursed limestone and brick, topped with thatch and pantile roofs. The original design features a two-unit plan and consists of a single storey with an attic. The front has a two-window range of 19th-century casements set under wooden lintels, along with a central eyebrow dormer that includes a leaded casement. There is a central 20th-century door and porch, and brick stacks are located at both ends of the house. To the right, there is a 19th-century one-unit, two-storey brick extension. Although the interior has not been inspected, it is noted to have an open fireplace and a winder stair.
