Description

This is a mid-18th century house located on the south side of Church Walk, Thrapston. It is constructed of regular coursed limestone, now painted, and has a pantile roof. The house has a one-unit plan and two storeys with an attic. The front elevation originally had a single window on the first floor, which retains its glazing bars and sits under a wooden lintel. A central 20th-century door is flanked by smaller 20th-century casement windows, also under wooden lintels. A rebuilt brick stack is located at one end of the building. A 20th-century single-storey extension has been added to the rear, incorporating a first-floor casement window. Inside, the house features an open fireplace with a bressumer, spine beams with run-out stops, and a winder stair leading to the attic.
