Description

This is a mid-18th century house, later used as a shop, office, and restaurant. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone and brick, with a concrete tile roof. The original plan likely comprised three units. The building is two storeys high with an attic. The first floor has a five-window front of sash windows with glazing bars, set within gauged stone heads. A central, late-19th century, stone bay window projects at ground floor, flanked by a late-19th century shop front to the left and a 20th century shop front to the right. The roof features three flat-topped dormers and ashlar gable parapets with kneelers along the party wall. Brick and stone stacks are visible at the ridge and ends of the building. A 19th century brick range extends to the rear. The interior retains mainly mid-19th century features.
