Description
Home Farm House is a farmhouse that has been converted into a house, dating from the early to mid-18th century and the 19th century. It is built of regularly coursed limestone and features roofs made of Collyweston and Welsh slate. The original layout was a two-unit plan, but it has been altered to a three-unit plan. The building has two storeys and a three-window range with irregularly sized 19th-century casement windows set under wooden lintels. To the left of the center, there is a six-panel door with glazed toplights, which is topped by a 19th-century flat-topped hood. There is a blocked opening to the right of the door. At one end, there is a stone stack with an octagonal flue, which is said to incorporate reset medieval masonry. A bay to the left, likely remodeled in the 19th century, projects forward from the main house and features 19th-century casement windows under a wooden lintel, along with a brick stack at the end. The interior has not been inspected, but it is noted to have ceiling beams and an open fireplace with a bressumer.
