Description
12 Hall Hill is a house dating from the early 18th century. It is built from regularly coursed limestone and has a thatched roof. Originally designed as a one-unit plan, it has been altered to form an irregular T-shape. The main front features a two-storey section with a one-window range on the right and a single-storey section with a one-window range on the left. The house has 19th-century casement windows set under wooden lintels, and a central plank door also located under a wooden lintel. There is a brick stack with a stone plinth at the end of the two-storey range. The single-storey range has a hipped roof and is a later addition, while the rear wing resembles the main structure, featuring a two-storey, one-window range with a part-glazed door under a wooden lintel and a casement window with glazing bars above it. Inside, the entrance lobby contains 18th-century fielded panelling, likely reset, and there is an open fireplace with a bressumer and a winder stair alongside.
