Description

No. 4 Church Street is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone and features a concrete tile roof. Originally designed as a one-unit plan, the house has two storeys and a two-window range with irregular-sized casements that have ashlar surrounds and wood lintels. To the right, there is a 20th-century door, also under a wood lintel, which is accessed by a flight of stone steps. An ashlar band runs between the storeys, and there is a brick stack at the end of the building. Although the interior was not inspected, it is noted to have an open fireplace with a bressumer and ceiling beams. This building is included for its group value.
