Description
The Vicarage is an early 19th-century vicarage located on Church Street in Brigstock. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone with an ashlar facade and features a 20th-century plain tile roof. The building has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys high with an attic. The main front consists of a three-window range of sash windows, which have glazing bars and are set under gauged stone and scored stone heads with keyblocks. The ground floor windows project forward as a square bay that includes an open porch supported by two square pillars. The central entrance features a panelled and part-glazed door. Additional architectural details include a moulded stone cornice, ashlar gable parapets, and ashlar stacks at both ends. The rear elevation has a three-window range of 19th-century casements under gauged stone heads. Inside, the entrance hall contains a staircase with a stick balustrade. The building is included for its group value.
