Description
The garden wall, doorway, and gazebo associated with Number 16, North Street, date from around 1700. The structure includes a short length of original stone wall featuring steep coping. At the center of this wall, on the garden side, is a gazebo that measures 12 feet square at its base and rises two stories with a pointed roof topped by a ball finial. There is an external staircase leading to the first floor and one casement window on each of the other sides. Approximately halfway between the gazebo and the north wall, there is a low doorway with a wide moulded architrave. This garden wall, doorway, and gazebo are part of a group with Number 16, North Street.
