Description

EAST ROAD 1. (West Side) 1483 ----------- Garden wall, doorway and gazebo to No 16, North Street. TL 0488 3/55 18.6.55.

  1. A short length of original stone wall with steep coping survives. In the centre of this built into it on the garden side is the gazebo, 12 ft. square at base, 2 storeys with pointed roof with ball finial, external staircase to the 1st floor, 1 casement window to the other faces, Approximately half way from the gazebo to the north wall is a low doorway with wide moulded architrave. All dating from circa 1700.

The garden wall, doorway and gazebo form a group with No 16, North Street.
