Description

Laundimer House and 22 North Street consist of several adjoining buildings. The first, next to No 20, is a simple small early 18th century house of two storeys with a steep stone slate roof. It has two first-floor windows, which are hung sashes with glazing bars in moulded wooden cases and stone lintels. The ground floor features a roughly central doorway, a shallow bowed window to the right, and an old shop window with wooden pilasters and an entablature on the other side. The door is six panels with a rectangular fanlight of four panes.

Laundimer House is an early to mid-19th century house of three storeys, built of coursed stone with a hipped Welsh slate roof and eaves cornice. It has platbands between the storeys and a slight plinth. The top floor has five windows, while the second floor has four, all hung sashes with glazing bars in plain reveals, flat arched heads, and plain sills. The central entrance features a doorcase with pilasters and an entablature, deep reveals, and a rectangular fanlight. The double doors are approached by steps. To the right, there is a mid-19th century extension of three storeys with five and two windows, stone rusticated surrounds, and mainly hung sashes with glazing bars, along with a small plinth.

All the listed buildings on the east side of North Street form a group.
