Description
Number 14 North Street and Upper House is a building that was formerly an inn and is now divided into two separate dwellings. It has an L-shaped plan and stands two storeys high with attics, constructed from stone and topped with stone slate roofs. The front features two canted bays, each two storeys high with three-light late sash windows that include glazing bars. There are also two gabled dormers. The entrance is located off-centre to the right, featuring a plain doorway with a flat arch and keystone. The gable end on the return face has one five-light mullioned window on each floor. The rear wing, known as Upper House, has late sash windows on both floors and a semi-circular headed doorway with a glazed door. All the listed buildings on the east side of North Street form a group.
