Description
Old Dryden House, part of Oundle School, is an 18th-century building located on North Street. It stands three storeys high, constructed from coursed rubble with a Welsh slate roof. The building features a prominent plinth and has five windows on the first and second floors, which are adorned with moulded architraves. The top floor has casement windows with glazing bars.
On the ground floor, the original central entrance has been walled up, and a window has been inserted in its place; however, the stone doorcase remains intact, complete with pilasters and a plain entablature. To the left of the entrance is a carriage entrance, also flanked by pilasters and an entablature, with an additional window located beyond it.
This building is part of a group of listed buildings on the east side of North Street.
