DEENETHORPE MAIN STREET SP99SE (East side) 6/87 No.49 (Matchbox Cottage) 17/12/87 GV II House, Mid C18. Squared coursed limestone with thatch roof. Originally 2-unit plan. Single storey with attic. 2-window range of C19 style casements under wood lintels. Similar casement windows, to attic, under eyebrow dormers. Central C19 plank door is also under wand lintel. Brick stackes at ends. Single-storey extensions to rear. Interior not inspected but probably has remains of open fireplace, now blocked.
