Description

Cheyham Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone with ironstone and features a thatched roof. The building has a two-unit plan and is a single storey with an attic. The front has a three-window range of 19th-century casements set under wooden lintels. There are fire windows on the far right and similar casements beneath eyebrow dormers in the attic. The central door, which is from the 20th century, is also located under a wooden lintel. Brick stacks are positioned at both ends of the cottage. Inside, there is an open fireplace with a bressumer and ceiling beams.
