Description

79 Church Street is a house dating from the 18th century, which was raised and had its windows altered in the 19th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with ironstone banding in the original build and features a slate roof with brick gable end stacks. The building has two storeys raised to three and consists of two bays. A central 20th-century door is flanked by three-light casement windows, all set beneath timber lintels. There is a sun firemark on the exterior. Inside, the house has spine beams, and the left-hand room includes an inglenook that has been relined but retains its original bressumer, along with two cupboards on H-hinges to the left.
