Description
Beech House and its outbuildings to the rear are located on Church Street in Burton Latimer. The house dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century, as it is shown on a map from 1803. The front of the house is made of squared ironstone, while the side and rear are constructed from limestone rubble with some ironstone banding. It has a 20th-century tile roof, with brick stacks on the ridge and left gable end, as well as on the gable of the cross-wing. The main block features a two-window range and a cross-wing to the right. It is two storeys tall and has 8/8 sash windows with gauged heads. There is a central mid-19th century porch with a coped gable and a segmental-headed doorway that contains a 20th-century door. The cross-wing has two sash windows on its left flank. The interior has not been inspected. There is a range of outbuildings at the rear, which are of various builds and have been altered.
