Description

YARWELL MAIN STREET TL0697 (North side) 14/230 Sunnysïde GV II House. C17 altered C20. Regular coursed and squared coursed and banded limestone with Collyweston slate roof. Originally 2-unit plan with central stack. 2 storeys. 2-window range at first floor, and 3-window range at ground floor of C19 and C20 casements. Ground floor centre window was originally a door and has concrete lintel; first floor windows also have concrete lintels. Ground floor flanking windows have C17 moulded stone surrounds, with hood moulds. Ashlar gable parapets and kneelers and ashlar stack at ridge. Left bay is squared coursed limestone with 3 ashlar bands, other is regular coursed. Right gable has C20 door and windows under concrete lintels and bands of projecting stonework in gable, probably pigeon holes. Single-storey extension to rear. Interior; living room, to left, has open fireplace with bressumer and roll moulded spine beam. Former cross-passage runs behind the central stack.
