Description

The war memorial at the south end of New Street is a simple structure built after 1914. It consists of a stone obelisk set on a squared plinth, topped with a bronze ball and cross finial. The memorial is mounted on stone steps and is enclosed by a chain guard supported by short stone posts. All the listed buildings in New Street are part of a group.
