Description
No. 10 West Street is a mid-19th century front elevation on an earlier 18th century building. It has two storeys and attics, featuring three gabled dormers. The structure is made of stone with rusticated quoins and has a heavy moulded cornice with egg and dart and dentil detailing. There are three windows with segmental arches, each having a moulded architrave and a carved and reeded keystone, and they do not have glazing bars. On the ground floor, there are two windows and a round-arched door with six panels, set in a stone architrave that includes reeded pilasters and a shallow pedimented hood with a keystone. The building has two stone stacks. It is part of a group that includes Nos. 2 to 36 (even) and 42 to 46A (even) and 52 to 98 (even).
