Description
The building is a mid-to-late 19th-century bank, part of a group of listed buildings on New Street. It is constructed of coursed stone with ashlar dressings and a Welsh slate roof. The bank is two storeys high and comprises two builds, one of three windows and the other of five. There are two single and one multi-flue chimney stacks. The right-hand build features a dentil eaves cornice, and its central window is of three lights. A band links the windows at impost height. The left-hand build has two windows and a four-panel door on the ground floor, with a rectangular fanlight and cornice supported by consoles above the doorway. The building has a plinth. The right-hand build has round-headed windows and a doorway with a keystone, all with moulded heads and divided by pilasters with foliated capitals. The spandrels and aprons are panelled, and the cills are joined. Swags decorate the consoles of the door cornice.
