Description

7 and 9 Market Place are a late 18th century terrace of three houses. They are constructed of ashlar stone with a gabled stone slate roof. Each house has three storeys and two windows to the front. The windows are sash windows set in reveals, with flat arched heads. A band runs along the front at the level of the second floor. Number 7 has a later shop front on the ground floor. The window sashes retain their glazing bars on the first and second floors of the original three houses, but the glazing bars have been removed from the upper windows of number 9, which now has a Gothic bank front. The buildings form a group with other listed buildings on Market Place.
